![]() #30, Melika, to make it clear, if the Chromebook Pixel were cheaper or I had money to burn, I would buy one in a heartbeat. People tend to be very happy with their Chromebooks, especially the newer ones which use Intel Haswell-based chips. While Windows becomes ever more bloated and requires ever greater hardware, Android 4.4, which I'm running, will run on very minimal hardware. Google is making smarter decisions than Microsoft. The wonderful Google Now should be available on the Chrome OS soon. You still need Windows for Windows-specific apps, but Google is aiming to replace Microsoft and Apple operating systems. Already, desktop apps are available in Windows, as well as the Chrome launcher. Google is dumping their long-term resources into the Chrome OS. Check the Chrome Store for what's available, as well as web services. The Haswell chips are hot performers, I would consider the Acer but at the moment I'd rather dump my resources into another Android device. ![]() ![]()
